SkillPLUMB 2015 launches

The 2015 competition has now been launched. The application window is now open and runs until 20 March.

Organised by BPEC and with the Copper Initiative as a premier sponsor, the event is designed to promote and showcase high standards and skills across the plumbing industry. Entrants will be judged on a series of challenging practical tests in a bid to be named the 2015 SkillPLUMB champion.

Between April and June, there will be a number of regional events across the UK, and those who score most highly will progress to a UK final held in November at the Skills Show.

Competitors may also have the chance to represent their country and compete at international level at future WorldSkills events.

“Each year the quality demonstrated by our industry’s young people is astounding,” said Neil Collishaw of BPEC. “I encourage all budding apprentices to enter the competition and we look forward to the excellent standards we’ll be witnessing from competitors again this year.”
